Last week I talked about my favourite foundation for glowing, dewy skin, with just the right amount of coverage (here), but sometimes you want just a little extra boost to perfect your complexion, and I’ve found the product that does just that: Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. Inspired by those Snapchat and Instagram Stories filters that make you look bloody fantastic, this product is a bottle of wonderglow!
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury products and I was lucky enough to meet the lady herself recently! Apart from the fact that she is just utterly fabulous and so sweet, I loved that she was so excitable about her products, and this was a new launch that she really raved about! Having used it daily for the past couple of weeks I have to agree – it’s amazing!
Hollywood Flawless Filter uses special ingredients to illuminate your skin, giving a soft-focus look, whilst smoothing fine lines and pores. Here’s the “science”…
- Smoothing airbrush polymers “roll” over your complexion for a poreless-looking, creamy finish
- Glossy Oil is a lightweight moisturising oil that reflects and adds light to your face where you need it
- Super finely milled powders give a soft-focus look, making lines and pores appear smoother, which means it looks as amazing in real life, as it does on camera (this is key for me – no one wants to look like they’re wearing a mask of make up!)
- Porcelain Flower Extract is a brightening ingredient derived from a Thai flower with natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatories to enhance microcirculation and brighten skin
In reality…? It brightens skin and seems to just smooth out any uneven skin tone or pigmentation. It’s like a mix of a primer and a warm, perfecting highlighter, with a hint of colour.
I apply it after my moisturiser and before my foundation, but I’d happily wear it by itself for a relaxed dewy look, and I’ve heard that it can also be mixed with foundation, or tapped on to cheekbones, the bridge of the nose and the cupid’s bow for an extra superstar glow. It comes in 7 blendable shades from fair to dark so hopefully there’s something for everyone, and I use number 4, which is a neutral golden yellow for medium skin tones.
Have you tried it yet? Let me know what you think, or find your shade below.
