YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint

YSL Beauty Touche Eclat Le Teint

I’m back with another Beauty Product of the Week, and this one is a make up bag staple for me: YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint. I’ve been through countless bottles of this foundation over the years, and in the interest of full disclosure, every single one has been bought with my own pennies. I mentioned it on my Insta Stories the other day and got so many questions asking about it that I knew it had to be my next Beauty Product of the Week.

I feel like foundation is such a personal thing and everyone has their preference when it comes to coverage, texture and formula – from dewy light BB creams to velvety matte full cover, and everything in between… As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a little obsessed with moisturising (I really do think a good dose of moisturiser can hide a multitude of sins and signs of ageing) so my personal preference for foundation is always a dewy, glowing texture, but I definitely like to have a decent amount of coverage. I tend to just use foundation, rather than layering it with concealer, so a foundation that can cover dark circles and any discolouration in its own right is ideal for me. (That’s not for any reason other than I’ve never found a concealer texture that I like, that doesn’t feeling drying and cakey… so if you have a fave that I should know about please drop me a line!)

It took me a long time to find a foundation that I loved. I tried all the obvious choices that I’ve heard people declare their undying love for – Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation weirdly doesn’t have a single shade to match my skintone, Becca’s products were either too sheer or far too heavy, Charlotte Tilbury’s didn’t sit right on my skin… and then I found it.

YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint is a medium to full coverage foundation, but importantly, it’s infused with the magic light reflecting formula that made the iconic Touche Éclat concealer a mainstay in make up bags around the world. Funnily enough I was never actually a massive fan of the original Touche Éclat pen, but it’s big sister is my absolute favourite. It’s long-lasting but designed to feel weightless on the skin so you’re left with a radiant complexion all day and night long, and it’s available in over 20 shades (I’m B50), with cool, neutral and warm undertones, so hopefully there’s something to suit nearly everybody.

Let me know if you love it as much as I do, and if there are any beauty must-haves in your makeup bag that I just have to try.

Not sponsored, not in collaboration with… I just love it 🙂
