Although I still think of The Style Memo as a fashion and travel blog, I guess over the years I’ve started to feature other aspects of my life and different things that I love. As I’ve got older I’ve definitely started to take a little more care of my skin, so naturally my favourite beauty products have started to pop up in blog posts and on Instagram. Face wipes and Nivea have been replaced with cleansers, lotions and potions, and I get more and more questions about my favourite beauty products, so I decided to start a new feature showing my beauty product of the week. These will be products that I love and use on a regular basis. Some might be gifted from brands or friends, many are ones that I buy time and time again, but they’ll all be products that I wouldn’t go without. To get things started: the body lotion that I’m obsessed with.
After a couple of long, cold months, my poor winter skin is desperate for some nourishment and this Almond Milk Concentrate from L’Occitane is just the thing for it. I picked some up in the new Regent Street flagship the other day, which by the way, you must visit. It’s a stunning store with a vast selection of the iconic French brand’s products, a Pierre Hermé café (think macarons galore, fresh mint tea, and the thickest hot chocolate), with complimentary hand massages on offer… heaven!
Anyway, back to the product… it’s just dreamy! The texture is a light cream, with an almost whipped feel, and it goes on super smoothly, without any greasy stickiness. The new formula is packed with almond extract and walnut seed to hydrate whilst firming and softening the skin, so you’ll be summer ready before you know it! I love to slather it on before bed for a real overnight moisture boost.
I’d also really recommend the Supple Skin Oil from the same range. It’s a light oil spray which is great to lock in moisture, and their iconic Almond Shower Oil has become a cult product for anyone who tries it.
You can buy the L’Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate and the rest of the range below.
