A cashmere knit worn with super soft denim is pretty much my day-to-day go-to outfit. It’s cosy, and casual, and super easy to elevate with great accessories. My wardrobe is filled with cashmere – mostly in neutral tones of black, cream, grey marl and a light tan shade. I’ve tried a good few different brands over the years and my favourite for oversized super cosy thicker knits is definitely Amanda Wakeley. Her rollnecks are the perfect slouchy shape, and her satin backed styles are great for transitional dressing. For lighter weight, simpler styles, I love good old Marks and Spencer. I have more of their crew neck style than is probably normal, in identical colours and styles, and when it’s super chilly I love to layer them up. They’re super reasonably priced and come in a great selection of styles – even a slim fit cashmere mix jogger which, worn with a matching crew neck, has become known as my “cosy suit”.

For jeans, I’m all or nothing. I think Paige has some of the best denim, and sometimes it pays to spend a little extra. Their denim is super soft and stretches without ever bagging. I love their high waisted skinny Margot style and their cropped kick flare. These also look really sweet for summer! For a budget option I really like ASOS denim, particularly the Farleigh style which comes in a stiffer, less stretchy denim that pulls in and lifts in all the right places! The luxe version of this is of course any style from cult brand Re/Done. I feel like these could be really good.

My day-to-day look might be super simple but some good accessories can make all the difference. Try layering monochrome tones in different textures for a super chic look. Black on black on black always looks glam, but I also love to layer greys, or creams, tans and putty shades for a classic Max Mara-esque look.

Today’s accessories included a super cosy jacket and the skinniest of stretchy knitted over the knee boots (similar here and here). Sunglasses are always the next key piece to my look. Not only can they change the vibe of your outfit but they’re something you can have a little more fun with. These oversized round sunglasses make me feel a little Iris Apfel. If you haven’t seen the Netflix documentary about her, add it to your list. She’s really quite incredible! Back to the outfit… I love a good hat and today I wore this baker boy – a style that shows no sign of waning. I grabbed my nearest Aspinal bag. You know I love their collection and I use their bags constantly. This one is the black croc Dockery style, which is kinda classic but so chic, and it fits so much inside – even my ever present camera.
