On the last day of London Fashion Week I started my morning at this season’s main showspace, 180 The Strand, where I saw the Emilio de la Morena and J. JS Lee shows. Emilio showed a collection of layered lace micro minis, whilst the J. JS Lee show featured beautifully cut tailoring in neutral tones with oversized neck tie scarves. By midday I was heading back to Mayfair to see Amanda Wakeley’s new collection at her gorgeous flagship store on Albemarle Street, which was inspired by Japanese culture and featured some of the most stunning, engineered fabrics.
I wore this gorgeous long navy coat from Tommy Hilfiger, with a cashmere polo neck from Amanda Wakeley and this fabulous Dodo Bar Or mini. It’s going to be the perfect skirt of the summer with tanned bare legs and tie up suede sandals but I just couldn’t resist wearing it now with thick black tights. We got all the seasons in one day – sun one minute, blowing a gale the next, so I tied my hair up into an undone ponytail. It’s one of my favourite hairstyles at the moment and one you’ve probably seen me sporting quite a lot on Instagram. I part my hair down the centre and get a little volume into the crown before tying it up and pulling down a few strands to soften the look.
