Memo:

Rosewood London is a truly spectacular hotel. With the most stylish design, and a seriously enviable book collection (books, trinkets and artwork seem to stylishly line every surface) it’s one of my favourite hotels in the city. At the heart of Rosewood London’s design is Rosewood’s philosophy of ‘A Sense of Place’, which has been captured perfectly. The property reflects its location’s history, and has been sensitively restored following the building’s original designs wherever possible, with missing details carefully replicated and replaced. From the grand stone frontage, an arched carriageway leads through to the beautiful courtyard, and if you’re on Instagram, you’ll have seen the stunning copper entrance hallway which has launched a thousand “homegoals” hashtags. The hotel opened in 2013 and ever since, I’ve been a fan of venturing over to Holborn – to attend an event in the vast underground ballroom, to sip champagne in the Mirror Room to celebrate Carrie finding her perfect wedding dress, and this weekend, to catch up over cocktails with my Swedes – Carl and his friend Martin.

I dressed for the occasion in this gorgeous little slip dress from Anna Sui. This kind of style is a bit of a go-to at the moment. I’m mentally planning holidays in the sunshine where I’ll wear slip dresses with sandals (these are on my wish list) and a tan, but whilst it’s still freezing outside I’m belting them up and layering them with jewellery, jackets and velvet over the knee boots.

Back to sunnier thoughts, we’re thinking of heading to a little island off Mexico for Easter but we’re open to sunny suggestions… Where’s your favourite winter sun destination? Let me know if you have any holiday recommendations for our year ahead.
