Memo:
With Housekeeping’s residency at Blue Marlin having just started on Saturday, a summer of trips to Ibiza is upon us. I’m always on the lookout for cute, easy holiday outfits. Dresses that can be thrown over a simple bikini, or dressed up with piles of bangles and a couple of stylish accessories. I was up in Marylebone for a meeting recently when I stumbled across Forever 21, with windows full of super stylish mannequins, on my way back to the office. With fond memories of a F21 haul on my post-university travels to LA, I ventured in (wondering if I might be a bit passed it!) and was seriously impressed. Breezy cheesecloth dresses detailed in crochet, some of the best swimwear I’ve seen on the high street, and an accessories department filled with trinkets to pep up those holiday buys. Now this is unashamedly fast-fashion at super affordable prices, but search out those perfect pieces and they’ll last you more than just a couple of weeks (I still have some of those buys from LA!) I picked up this simple ribbed dress and it’s already been a bit of a winner. I teamed it with this dreamy oversized fedora and a leather jacket to keep the chill off in London, I wore it to party all night long at Housekeeping’s summer send off at Koko, and I took it to Ibiza to dance through sunset at DC10 this weekend. Here’s to a summer of being “forever 21”.
