Swedish Meatballs in Stockholm

We were so lucky with the weather in Stockholm. Bright sunny days and balmy nights meant we could wander the city and make the most of the sunshine. Sunday was all about taking things a little easier. We woke up late at Hotel Diplomat and headed downstairs for brunch in the sunshine on their terrace overlooking the water. Being in Sweden for just the weekend, we both made sure to choose the most Swedish dishes on the menu – Toast Skagen (the most delicious version of prawns on toast) and köttbullar (Swedish meatballs) with lingonberry jam, cucumber and whipped potatoes, which wasn’t quite appropriate food for the weather, but we just had to get our fix. We took a stroll down the waterfront (and I tried to avoid a Marilyn moment in this super cute summer dress) before reluctantly heading back to the hotel to catch our taxi to the airport.
