Memo:
Last weekend we headed out to the beautiful city of Stockholm. Carl was doing some business over there and with some seriously affordable flights on offer, I couldn’t say no to a little weekend away, so I skipped out of work on Friday and headed to Heathrow. I spent the flight glued to the window, spotting sprawling estates in Surrey and little wooden farmhouses as we came in to land in the glorious sunshine. I’ve always loved a trip to Stockholm but I’ve only ever been in the depths of winter when the daylight lasts just a couple of hours so seeing the city in bright sunshine was quite a novelty. We spent the weekend wandering the city, catching up with friends, and eating our way around Stockholm’s restaurants – a delight of flavour combinations at Le Nom, traditional Swedish fare at its best at Sturehof, and sunshine lunching at Strandvägen 1. I was desperate to head out on the water but with a return trip planned for just a couple of weeks time, we’re determined to squeeze it in next time.
