Memo:
From daily food shops to piles of their perfect fit cashmere sweaters, I’m a huge fan of Marks and Spencer. I’ve always thought how amazingly interesting it would be to venture into the design archives of a brand, so when M&S announced that they would be launching the Archive by Alexa range, I was excited, and just very slightly envious. Imagine the treasure troves you could find in the vast archive of the British institution that is Marks and Sparks. Alexa’s collection is a mix of vintage inspired designs and I couldn’t help but pick up a few pieces, along with the daily supplies, on a recent visit to my local branch. I’d spotted the gorgeous ruffle neck Harry dress in the collection preview and it was love at first sight – I’m a true child of the eighties! The Frances trench coat is based on a style loved by M&S customers since the Fifties, so into my basket it went. I paired both them with some good old Hunter wellies and a staff for a short hike on a recent trip to the Lake District, and admired those spectacular views whilst feeling very at home in Archive by Alexa.
