Memo:
Easter weekend was spent up in the glorious Lake District. We’ve been heading up to the highlands of the North West of England since I was little and it’s such a retreat, even more so now that we live these wonderful but sometimes crazily busy lives. The Lakes is becoming quite the culinary hotspot, and we pretty much ate our way around with stops at the wonderfully cosy Drunken Duck, and the ever-impressive Lake Road Kitchen, from insanely talented Noma alum James Cross. But some of the most lovely parts of the weekend were just hanging out with family and friends. The house is perched on the hillside, high above Lake Windermere, with a magnificent view from one end of the lake to the other. Wrapping up in layers, like this fabulous borrowed-from-the-boys steal, we’d face the bracing country air and be mesmerised by the stunning nature of the ever-changing view.
