Sketch, Mayfair, London
Sketch is an 18th-century townhouse in the middle of Mayfair, but pass through the doors and you’ll find it’s anything but traditional. This quirky venue, housing multiple bars, restaurants and those infamous bathrooms, has a lot of memories for me. I remember coming down to London when it first opened and having dinner up in the super swish Michelin starred Lecture Room restaurant. Carrie and I had planned our outfits and looked pretty special in our early noughties teenage style… We’ve since had long fun nights dancing in the Parlour and drinking the night away in the Glade, but this trip was a little more civilised. Carrie and I met for a mid-week catch up in the super sweet candy pink Gallery, laughing our way around the David Shrigley cartoon decorated walls. Carrie recently started her own luxury lifestyle PR company, after years of working with some seriously impressive clients, so she’s quite the girlboss. We spent the morning chatting through ideas before heading off to a day of meetings. Fingers crossed for an exciting year ahead!
