Memo:
This weekend Carl whisked me off to Rome for a little pre-birthday Roman Holiday. We set off early on Friday morning and by the time the sun was up, we’d landed in Rome sweet Rome. The whole trip was a complete surprise, so arriving at the stunning JK Place was the first of many wonderful discoveries. We checked in and swung open the doors to our rooftop terrace, giddily peering over the edge at multicoloured houses. The sun was shining so we made the most of our good fortune and wandered the streets to our first stop: La Zanzara. A fantastic little neighbourhood restaurant, this place serves the best in local Italian food – proscuitto, cheeses, stuffed courgette flowers, pasta, and of course, some delicious Italian wines. The waiters thought we were crazy sitting outside in December, but wrapped up in this gorgeous shearling scarf, we excitedly chattered away long into the afternoon, before strolling back to the hotel and spotting a very well coordinated car.
