This December I have a pretty special birthday. Being a Christmas baby, I always try and ask everyone to keep the date free, months in advance, and just hope for the best. Now I’m based in London, with friends from all over the country, it’s pretty tricky to get everyone in one place at one time. There was only one thing for it – a pre-birthday dinner for those who can’t make it up north on the 23rd, and it was as fun, beautiful, and special as I hoped it could be. The Four Seasons hosted us, turning their glass encased top floor into a stunning private dining room with the most magnificent views over the city I now call home. I wore a star spangled dress by my new dream designer, Alessandra Rich, with good old Louboutins and a clutch emblazoned with my most used word. Candles, lanterns and crystals littered every surface, and my gorgeous friends turned up laden with presents. Wanting to return the favour, we sat down to place settings of pressies – vials of tequila (my poison of choice), and engraved bracelets for the girls, with a little message telling them how much they mean to me. I honestly had the most wonderful night – delicious food, plentiful wine, fantastic company, music by DJ Carlito, and when the man himself stood up to make a beautiful surprise speech I couldn’t have been more shocked. I was surrounded by family and friends – some of the most kind, special, thoughtful people I have ever met – and I was celebrating on top of the city. I felt on top of the world! 2015 has been a pretty magical year and I really want to thank all of you so much for helping me celebrate in style!
