Memo:
Jumby Bay is a little island paradise in the beautiful Caribbean sea. A privately owned 300 acre island two miles off the coast of Antigua, it houses just a limited number of private homes and hotel suites. We were lucky enough to stay at a friend’s astonishingly beautiful villa, which can be rented for an understandably eye-watering price, but the Rosewood resort, the sole hotel on the island, is an idyllic option for visitors to the island. Postcard-perfect beaches, crystalline waters and one of the world’s primary preserves for hawksbill sea turtles, Jumby Bay is the stuff of dreams. We popped down to the Rosewood’s main beach one sunny day to check out their new lunch spot, The Beach Shack. Sitting on powder white sand with the smiliest lady behind the bar, the shack offers authentic Antiguan food and the freshest of local ingredients. Spicy Caribbean roti wraps, fresh juicy smoothies, and the freshest of citrusy ceviche, it’s heaven for a light lunch on the beach. Ok, I’m ready to go back now…!
