Jumby Bay, Antigua
After a pretty fabulous day of travelling to Jumby Bay, we woke up early and headed barefoot out to the beach. Powder fine white sand adorned with the most beautiful shells, crystal clear water and the sun high in the sky… it was paradise! We sheltered in the shadows of the palm trees before the estate gardener asked if we’d every tried coconut water. Sure, we’ve all tried the bottle stuff on a health kick, but he wanted to know if we’d tried the real stuff – cut fresh from his favourite tree. We couldn’t turn down the offer so he got to work with a huge knife and within seconds he’d handed us huge fresh coconuts with a colourful straw. Sweet, juicy and hydrating, it was perfect start to another day in paradise.
