Memo:
Travelling is one of my biggest joys and as they say, it’s about the journey not the destination, so to travel in style is even better! On 20th August my Mummy celebrated her big birthday so Carrie and I flew out to join her and Daddy on Jumby Bay, a small private island off the north coast of Antigua. It’s not every day you get to celebrate such a wonderful occasion so the only way to fly was Upper Class with Virgin Atlantic. We set off to Gatwick airport bright and early and after a smooth sailing check in, we were whisked to the Virgin Clubhouse. Breakfast and spa treatments await and I tucked into some pretty delicious pancakes with bacon and maple syrup whilst watching the planes come and go. Soon enough it was time to board and we were seriously well looked after with a delicious lunch, a snuggly sleep on duvet covered flatbeds and copious amounts of champagne and afternoon tea at the onboard bar. Back in our seats with just minutes until landing, I was watching the world go by when Jumby came into view. Serious excitement ensued… On arrival, we were whisked straight through security and then driven to the dock where we jumped on the boat to the island. There are no cars on Jumby Bay, just golf buggies (as you may have seen on Instagram) and bicycles, so the way of life is a little slower. Driving along the pathways to the house, we were in awe of the beautiful surroundings, and when we reached the house… Wow, just heaven! A rum punch and a dreamy sunset and the holiday was off to a great start…
