The Swedish archipelago plays host to some of the most incredible landscapes I’ve ever seen. Under the most magical cool, hazy light, silver birch trees stand in file, surrounded by a blanket of flowers and leaves, with meandering pathways and streams leading to a sparkling oasis of icy cold water beyond. On my recent last minute trip to Sweden, I’d thrown a couple of newly acquired creamy white pieces in my hand luggage and headed off to the airport. On arrival, I played the island woodland fairy, in awe of the surroundings, in gauzy off white dresses, wrapped in cosy cream cashmere to keep off the chill, and it was a dream to shoot with my photographer extraordinaire behind the lens.
