On Thursday afternoon I booked some very last minute flights for a quick bank holiday weekend away. We flew out to Gothenburg on Friday afternoon, sped up the west coast of Sweden and soon enough, we were worlds away from London in the tiny island village of Fiskebäckskil. We spent the evenings catching up with Carl’s family over long dinners accompanied by stunning seaside views and the days were spent exploring the most magnificent landscapes. Huge pink granite rocks lapped by the cold Swedish sea, vast blue skies, shimmering water inlets, forests of silver birch trees… we were in awe of our surroundings and lay back in the sun to soak it all in. With a cool breeze in the air, I wrapped up in layers of knits and my new dreamy denim find, the wonderfully apt Swedish brand, Dr Denim. Their super skinny, super stretchy jeans are a firm favourite, and as perfect to pull on for a country weekend away as they are with heels back in the city.
