The grounds at Alila are perfectly manicured, and wanting to make the most of our surroundings, we took a little stroll to discover some of the most beautiful, tropical flowers and plants. Ixora coccinea, acalypha hispida, hibiscus, frangipani… The list of colourful (and unpronounceable) plants is endless. The entrance to the villa adds a little drama to the house, with a beautiful wooden bridge over a palm shaded koi carp pond. All shades of red, coral and orange, and perfectly matched to my bright kimono sleeved wrap dress.
