Memo:
After a day of relaxing at the Four Season Spa, it was time to get ready for dinner and the surprise was revealed when we jumped in a black cab to Quaglino’s. This London institution has a legendary history and it also holds many fond memories for me. When I was little we would travel down to London and Quaglino’s was the place to go – a cavernous space in the heart of St James filled with the great and good. After a few quieter years, the space has been completely redesigned in a stunning Art Deco style, and with two bars and a programme of DJs and bands, the restaurant has been transformed  into the dancehall style venue that it once originally was. Dinner was delicious but the real expertise was at the centre stage bar. After revealing my love of margaritas, the head bartender whipped up the most amazing cocktail –  a margarita of earthy tequila and smokey mescal with bitter Campari and spicy chilli. Divine.
