Last weekend was Daddy’s big birthday so we headed up north to celebrate in style. The sky was on fire so we posed for a few family snaps before heading over to Northcote, a fabulous hotel nearby with a fantastic Michelin starred restaurant. Since it was a super special occasion, we’d managed to snap up The Chef’s Table, a brand new addition to the recently renovated hotel and restaurant. We walked through the kitchen, slightly overdressed in black tie in place of chef’s whites, and were greeted by executive chef Lisa Allen. We were treated to the most magnificent dinner of mushroom and truffle velouté, Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire cheese soufflé, Fillet of Bowland beef and an assiette of divine desserts. A truly special occasion for a very special Daddy.
