After a late night we woke up to beautiful beaming sunshine – it’s not so grim up north… Carrie made the most perfect breakfast of scrambled or sunny side up eggs, local sausages, beans and racks of buttery toast. After devouring quite a feast we got dressed and headed out into the fresh air to walk off our fuzzy heads. Leather leggings and heeled boots might not be standard country attire but it’s pretty standard in the Peers household. Soon the clock was ticking and it was time to jump in the car to head to the train station for the journey back to London. A short but so sweet trip up north.
