Coworth Park, Berkshire

On Thursday we had the mid-week treat of heading out to Coworth Park to meet up with my family for dinner. My parents had travelled down in the day for lunch on the terrace before massages in the stunning modern spa building (lucky them!), whilst we drove out of London’s stormy skies in the evening, before the clouds broke and we arrived in sunny Berkshire. The place is just beautiful. An 18th century country house known for its “high-end style without the stuffiness”, it mixes tradition with sleek design in the way that the Dorchester Collection knows so well, and all just 22 miles from the big city. We ventured out to the gardens and made our way into the meadow for a little pre-dinner stroll. Surrounded by beautiful bronze sculptures, it was a pretty special way to spend the evening. Next time, I just want to stay a little longer…
