The Best of the Summer Sales

This week heralds the start of the summer sales and it’s all about being a smart shopper. Don’t buy something just because it’s “cheap”, buy something because you love it and you’ll use it again and again. It’s a great time to pick up some summer bargains but why not also stock up on cashmere and good quality basics at reduced prices. If you’re great at planning ahead, find special presents for upcoming birthdays and don’t forget that Father’s Day is this weekend! It’s also the perfect time of year to make those sensible home purchases – think technology, bedding, towels, crockery and cutlery from the best brands at better than ever prices.

Now that all sounds very sensible, so let’s check out some lust-worthy items… Use the arrows to see more.

Go on spoil yourself!

My Theresa:

Head on over to My Theresa for the prettiest dresses, sassiest shoes and bags that will last a lifetime at outrageously reduced prices. Check out Gianvito Rossi for beautifully made, and ridiculously comfortable heels, and don’t miss out on the summer dresses¬†where you’ll find pieces from Chloe, Alexander McQueen and Erdem that you’ll bring out year after year.

Net-A-Porter:

The ultimate fashion destination has a sale full of fun, colourful holiday buys. But these are no flash-in-the-pan purchases… There are serious discounts on Dolce & Gabbana’s¬†iconic Sicily bags, colourful bikinis aplenty, the best summer party dresses and some absolute shoe goals.

Moda Operandi:

If your looking to standout or you just want to find something a little different, head over to Moda Operandi. Even out of sale time it’s one of my favourite sites as they have the very best edits of all the collections and you can buy pieces on pre-order straight from the runway, but when the sales come you have to take a look. They have some incredible offers, including this dreamy princess dress that I just bought, as well as cult Australian designers like Alice McCall & Zimmermann and brands that you just won’t find anywhere else. Perfect for wedding season!

Selfridges:

Selfridges sale is the sensible shopper’s choice. It’s a great all rounder so if you’ve moved house and need a new set of cutlery and some gorgeous wine glasses, or if you have the wedding of the year to attend and you want a Self Portrait dress with 60% off you’ll find it here. Check out the home and technology pages for some serious bargains and the travel bags are a total steal – think Tumi suitcases (that are hardly ever reduced) with 40% off!

Have you bought any fab pieces in the sales? Let me know what you get your hands on, and share your show goals in the comments… I’m on the lookout for something special!
