London Fashion Week
After a couple of years being squeezed into the narrow streets of Soho, London Fashion Week has moved back to the Strand, just along the road from its old majestic stomping ground at Somerset House, to the iconic brutalist building: 180 The Strand. Each season I’m lucky enough to attend more and more shows and presentations, and this season was really special. I sat front show at shows, met designers to talk through their collections, and was invited backstage to capture all of the action. And the moments of downtime were spent at The Apartment – a wonderful base for us lucky bloggers where we can find a little space to catch up on emails, grab some sustenance, get a blow-dry and a make up top up, and work with some of the best street style photographers.
On day one I was running around town to shows (starting with Eudon Choi, then PPQ and finally the magical Joshua Kane presentation at the Palladium). I wore this monochrome look – a cute slogan sweater (I’m loving this one too), this whipstitch leather skirt (check my edit of some fab leather skirts below), sporty ankle boots, with fishnets and the coat of the season – a puffa thrown of the shoulders to stay warm between street style and shows.
