Memo:
Last week I teamed up with Butterfly Twists to shoot their Spring Summer 2015 look book. It was a super fun day in the studio and in between shots I managed to sneak out into the streets around Ladbroke Grove with our fab photographer Arianne to do a couple of snaps for The Style Memo. Cheeky little Lola the French bulldog was keeping us entertained on set and she couldn't help but get her blue steel on too. She even agreed to share the spotlight... lucky me! Butterfly Twists is a fab British shoe brand. They make the comfiest ballet flats with a cushioned insole which handily fold up to pop in your handbag. We have a couple more exciting projects together which I'll fill you in on soon!

Denim and Print

Location:
Park Lane, Mayfair, London

Style:
Levi's denim shirt: style and steal
LA red printed ruffle skirt: style and steal
Marc Jacobs black leather belt: style and steal
Zara navy and aqua bag: style and steal
Topshop black slippers: style and steal
ASOS black sunglasses: style and steal

Memo:
I got this cute little ruffled skirt from a sweet shop in LA when I was in town after Coachella but somehow I still hadn't worn it. With a denim shirt and a pair of flats it was perfect for a sunny evening dinner in Notting Hill. We tried out Goode and Wright, a gorgeous little bistro at the far end of Portobello Road. Our table was piled high with dishes. Burrata with black olive tapenade, asparagus with serrano ham, Hansen & Lydersen's East London smoked salmon, triple cooked chips with hand picked crab mayonnaise, carafes of cold, crisp white wine... Simple, seasonal cooking at it's very best.

Summer Florals

Location:
Brick Street, Mayfair, London

Style:
Missguided long floral print backless dress: style and steal
Jimmy Choo pewter snakeskin sandals: style and steal
Stephanie Peers nude nappa leather clutch: style and steal

Memo:
Last week the beautiful Hum invited us to a black tie dinner in support of the Countryside Alliance. It was such a beautiful day, so although there was a burlesque theme, I had to wear this stunning summery maxi from the lovely people at Missguided. Floral print, super long and swishy, with the most divine cut out back - I was in love. The clutch is a little sample that I designed and handmade from the softest nappa leather and some beautiful pewter Jimmy Choo sandals finished the look. We had such a fun night... dinner, dancing and the obligatory rickshaw ride to 5 Hertford Street for more fun at Loulou's.

Art Takeover

Location:
Soho Square, Soho, London
Muriel's Kitchen, Soho, London

Style:
Vintage bleached denim jacket: style and steal
St Tropez white cotton dress: style and steal
Marc Jacobs black leather belt: style and steal
Prada black saffiano leather tote bag: style and steal
Giuseppe Zanotti black zip rose sandals: style and steal
Victoria Beckham tortoiseshell sunglasses: style and steal

Memo:
Last night was the opening of my friend Juliette's Art Takeover at Muriel's Kitchen in Soho so I headed over with my bestie, Sarah from peanut buttered. Juliette is super inspiring. She set up Loughran Gallery and is growing from strength to strength with her "roaming gallery" of incredibly talented artists. She hosts art pop ups across the city - a fun and more relaxed approach to buying art. The show at Muriel's features limited editions from Damien Hirst (I love the Mickey Mouse print) and Dave White (we desperately want to commission a unicorn edition...) as well as originals by Jessica Zoob. Muriel's Kitchen is run by my friend Katie's sister, Charlotte, and it's the cutest, homely space in Soho, with delicious food to feast on. The show runs until 21st July so please pop by to check it out.

Just One Teaspoon

Location:
Bolton Street, Mayfair, London

Style:
T by Alexander Wang cream silk shirt: style and steal
One Teaspoon printed cotton denim shorts: style and steal
Prada black saffiano leather tote bag: style and steal
H&M black leather quilted boots: style and steal
H&M black wool felt hat: style and steal
ASOS black sunglasses: style and steal

Memo:
One Teaspoon is a gorgeous little Australian brand that's no longer so little. The laidback style of distressed, bleached out shorts and super soft shirts and jersey tees is perfect for the hot and humid weather we're having here in London at the moment. These ripped up shorts are printed in washed out paisley but they also do the most perfect worn denim rolled hem shorts for an effortless beachy look. Wear them with wavy hair and an oversized t-shirt like my current girl crush, Elle from They All Hate Us for a perfect Aussie hippy vibe.
